"We celebrated our wedding anniversary in this idyllic spot and it was beyond our expectations. We were after somewhere quiet and full of history which is what we got and more. We went in February and the weather was cold but our room had a wood burner and the heating was on and we could always control the thermostat. Our room was spacious, clean and luxurious. The staff at the hotel were very attentive. The breakfast was incredible- it was more of a brunch as it had a huge variety of food from savoury to sweet to ordering eggs and omelettes. Afternoon tea was also a surprise with coffee, tea and pastries/cakes on offer. We ate at the restaurant there and the food was fresh and homemade. We also ate at local eateries, all within walking distance from the hotel so the location (although up a hill as are most in this area). The hot air balloon ride with Discovery balloons was excellent- very professional. We both had the Turkish Spa Package 2- wow! What an experience! The massage was professional, clean, relaxing and so much more than your typical spa as you felt so pampered. Sauna, face masks, hammam bath, massage- the works and every bit was excellent. The hotel organised a tour for us to the Derinkuyu caves and the Goreme Open Air Museum which we thoroughly enjoyed- our guide Okan was fantastic as was our driver.
