"I learned from Sarah, front desk assistant, that the hotel is on historical land (Alamo) and that it's history of the building was that it was a bank, a speak easy, and a book binding company. A prior guest documented that her grandmother or perhaps great grandmother worked as a bookbinder it the basement portion of the building. You can view the original vault of the bank on the 5th floor. The original tile was preserved during the remodel and used to form the front desk. I can't say enough...
