"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"A beautiful property set so far back from the road you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, we had an accessible room from my partner in a wheelchair. The deck was beautiful slight wear and tear on the furniture, but that’s expected I suppose. Our welcome was wonderful and despite the language barrier and my rubbish attempt at French they was very accommodating. "When we arrived in the hotel, late night after driving the whole day, I couldn’t check in (automatic machine) for one of the rooms (we had 2), declined the card every time. But accepted the other room. It was a problem with the automatic check in machine, not the card. "The hotel was well positioned for our trip … The outside of the property is tired and in need of an upgrade. But as they say “don’t judge a book by the cover”! The room was good/clean,bed comfy and all laundry fresh . The breakfast was continental but unbelievably good value . We traveled in a high value vehicle and the carpark was gated and secure. "This is a typical Ibis right next to Orléans station and close to the historic area. It's everything you need and nothing fancy but clean and well located. Here is the ridiculous part. There are 4 rooms where your room key will not allow you to access the lift security. Mine was one of these. I found out after checked in and tried to get back in the lift.
