"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. "I have stayed in many accommodations In Edinburgh but this has got to be one of my favs they thought of everything even down to a little magnet that covers the cooker digital click incase the light bothers you at night ! "Great location. Bang in the middle of town, on the royal mile. 5 min walk to tbe castle. Less than 7 min walk to princes street and 10 min st james quarter mall. Spacious, clean appartment with l'occitane products. Had a fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher and microwave. Kettle and nespresso machine too. Huge bathroom and shower. "I chose Native because of the price point as well as the fact the studios have a kitchenette, which was perfect. The room was cosy and a really good size. There were great features like an extra folding chair in the cupboard , so an extra guest could sit at the table to eat, and the clever dining table was great too. "Yotel is at a good walking location to restaurants, shopping, train station, Johnie Walker and Christmas Market if you are visiting that time of year. Rooms are very small didn't have much space to open my suitcase, basically a bed, TV on the wall and shower. Room did have a mini fridge. Front desk employees were very welcoming & helpful. Hotel did provide 24hrs free coffee & tea in the bar area."

Great hotel but note Spa is an "add on".

"Perfect 2 night stay for my wife's 40th birthday surprise. The room and hotel overall were spotless. The only negative we had was that the rooftop Spa is not included in the price and is an extra £35pp (discounted from the regular price of £90pp) for a 3hr slot only which was a little disappointing when it is advertised as part of the hotel experience. We did add this on though and the spa is very good and worth the discounted price but definitely not the full £90pp for 3hrs access. Breakfast is highly recommended great selection and quality."

"You all need to try their cream tea option at the restaurant. Tea with scones! Best scones ive had in my life. Ive been to many high teas in my life and this beats all. Every single bite felt like i was having an out of body experience. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating to our needs. Very walkable to majority of the attractions and the view from the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely would stay again! "
