All in all good, if compared to the cheap price. Kind staff.
The problem is that they are not clear enough in the booking flow, since they sold me a room with garden view and I ended in a room at level -1 with one tiny window heading nowhere (probably facing a wall considering the darkness). The bathroom was private but external, but this was not specified in the booking.
I would have booked the room anyways, therefore I’d recommend the property to be more specific on the room’s characteristics.
Wallpaper was peeling on walls. Toilet far too narrow and bathroom a real state... Clean but clearly just painted over damp and painted over terrible wallpaper. Get rid of that wardrobe and hairdryer. Room too dark...needs ligteninhand a curtain to cover the scary window that is a window into a room. Dark and scary. Named the purple dungeon on reviews. Get rid of the purple and modernise it. positives are the host was lovely and beds comfy and clean. Needs re papering and re plastering . New bathroom sink etc.
Aside from a gross shower curtain, the place was clean and staff were friendly. The room was pretty spacious, although the bed was a little uncomfortable. Overall, the price was right and the location was great!
Our private bathroom was at the far end of the corridor with no lock on the outside so who knows who used it. Our room was in the basement with a window to a dark alley so no daylight and the room was painted dark purple. Floor boards and stairs very creaky I heard every movement in the night. Front door lock is broken still works but it's not great. Tiles missing from the bathroom. But fab hospitality tray in the room. Would not stay again for such a price as I paid.
Convenient location, cheap price, get what pay for
Check in process not easy as time needs to be arranged and I then arrived 20 mins earlier than expected (takes proprietor about 5-10 mins to arrive from point of contact).
Room could do with some updating, felt like student digs with some mould on shower curtain, ikea furniture missing parts, doorhandle not working, crumbs under bed etc.
However, £90 per night at short notice when all other options (other than 10 person dorms) were >£300.
Location very convenient too.
The manager of the property was really friendly upon checking in, but the condition of the property is poor.
The shower is absolutely filthy and rotting with mouldy sealant.
Missing floorboards in the bathroom, holes in the shower.
The bedroom looked clean but there are cables trailing everywhere, the door can't be locked from the inside, holes are covered with tape, huge gaps under the door.
Other residents were quite noisy banging doors and cooking in their room.
It's a convenient location but you're better off staying in a hostel if I'm honest.
I travelled for work purposes and I wouldn't stay again.
I have pictures to prove what I'm saying as well.

Decent place to stay for a night or two. Great price. Great location with bus stops near by and walking distance from the train station. Easy check in and check out.
It’s slightly annoying you have to walk through a corridor to get to the toilet/bathroom & the facilities could be cleaner.
