"The stay was very nice. It was a little loud in our room, maybe a lot loud, but no way to control street noise. Better sound proofing would help a lot, but for the price and location, it's hard to beat. "

"We had a great stay at the Apex Grassmarket hotel. It was very convenient to the Old Town of Edinburgh. We stayed on the side that was not facing the castle and it was very quiet, which was great. We had booked the castle-facing room but due to my adding an extra night in the other room, we initially were told we were going to have to change rooms. We gave up the nicer room, which took some extra work from the desk staff, which was appreciated. We also asked for access to the rooftop deck for a photo and desk staff kindly escorted us up and waited while we took our photo. My husband used the sauna daily and enjoyed having access to that amenity."

"Location, location, location. Hotel has a modern vibe, great concierge hosts, and welcoming rooms. My family had a great time and felt right at home. Convient location close to shops, Waverly Station and restaurants. Hop on/off buses stop right in front. Definetively will stay with Apex Waterloo place on my next stay in Edinburgh :)"

And walk you will because the location, steps away from Edinburgh Castle on the Royal Mile, cannot be beat. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable and having our own kitchenette allowed us to take our time in the mornings. Cannot recommend this gem enough. "
