"Overall a good stay. My room could have been a little cleaner, and there was a lot of construction in the building and outside of it that was disruptive. All the doormen were lovely and helpful; front desk staff were less so. Location was great, making DC very walkable. "

"This is a beautiful and historic hotel just a stones throw from the White House. We also loved the downstairs bar which is warm and cozy and a great vibe. Staff is lovely and the room was classic beauty from a bygone era in the best possible way. "

"The location is central to touristic attractions and most neighborhoods for restaurants. The shower is a bit awkward as it takes up a fair amount of space. The water temp can be hard to modulate. There's no vent in the bathroom for the shower/ toilet. You will have to wait or physically dry the mirrors to do makeup, etc. The hard 3pm check in is annoying, but maybe it's a staffing thing and not a cash grab. Overall, good value."
