"The hotel is fantastically located just a short walk from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden Palace and the rest of central Beijing. Our room was tiny, but that's the price to be paid for a boutique room in a traditional hutong building and you can't argue with the price for this location. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and had everything we needed and breakfast was fine. The courtyard is beautiful and peaceful away from the noise of Beijing."

"A little hard to find as 161 is not the street number (it is #43 I think) in a very narrow alley but great location and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Honey wanted to see some live music and they recommended School which was fun! Breakfast was just OK but overall was enjoyable and wish we could have stayed longer."
