"The room had a good layout with a small table and chairs by the patio door. The balcony was fantastic, a large area along with a comfortable hammock and spectacular views of the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The best part of this resort, was not hearing the noise from the pool area which is quite common for most resorts, but due to the building layout, it lends itself to quiet balcony areas. Unfortunately you are then inundated with staff required to offer you specials and deals they offer through the hotel, and do not take “no” for an answer easily. "I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Cala Del Mar. I cannot wait to return. It was the most romantic and luxurious stay I could have ever imagined and I have traveled all of the world and stayed in some incredible places. We came for our honeymoon and everyone there made it so special. I don't think I have ever felt that relaxed in my entire life. "This is a lovely property with friendly and very helpful staff. The beach is clean and beautiful and beach staff is great. The pools could use a little maintenance on things like broken tiles, but appeared overall clean and inviting. Spa staff was great. Only hazard I ran into was the two steps down off the bed in the middle of the night."

"I liked everything about the property. What I didn’t like is that my room was in front of a restaurant that played loud music on the weekends. The staff at the front desk seemed to lack knowledge of the area and weren’t particularly helpful. So we approached the waiters who spoke English for information. They were extremely helpful and friendly. "
