"The location was great and we would book again. Old property, no elevator or tvs. Restaurants suffered from lack of staff (like everyone these days) and had mediocre food. BUT, it was wonderful for viewing the volcano. Comfortable enough."

"This is the real Hawaii! The property is located in a relatively remote area about 30 minutes south of Pahoa. Beautiful setting in the middle of a forest not too far from the beach. Isaac Hale Park is within walking distance and although the beach isn’t very safe for swimming there is a pond there that you can swim in. The accommodations are primitive and like camping but Mango Cabin was very spacious and the beds were VERY comfy. It is off-grid but there is electricity to the cabins. The cabins...

"The room was beautiful and relaxing. I wanted to spend time there! Everything seemed well thought out so the small details made it quite a special experience. The bed and linens were great, the fruit was lovely, and the coffee/tea with the table set was welcoming. I could warm up quickly if it got chilly, and the private patio with rocking chairs was a nice way to enjoy coffee at dawn. "
