"Horrible. The establishment was closed (August 2021) when we arrived. The hotel charged my credit card only to find out when we arrived, the hotel was empty and abandoned. Never again!"

"The architectural design was absolutely beautiful! Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and well kept. Housekeeping was always on-point with cleaning every day. Breakfast was amazing, loved the daily options. Food at the on property restaurant was really good and they had a variety of options"

"Have stayed here many times. Always consistent. The restaurant is good and the staff is very friendly. Ask for Jose. David has limited restaurants that may appeal to American tastes. If you are visiting I suggest you try Boquete where you will be pleased. If spending a few nights in David then Alcala is certainly acceptable. I have lived here for 4 years so I have a little experience in these things."

"If you want a less expensive hotel that is safe, reasonably comfortable, reasonably clean for an old place, has great, friendly staff, a nice breakfast, etc. this is your place! It is a couple block's walk to a great REY grocery store, pharmacies, the ocean/walking/bike path, etc.--super convenient. The area and adjacent buildings are definitely run down, but that is normal for the area, in my experience. It seems safe enough. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Location is great and the area feels very safe. Very close to the subway station, and lots of restaurant options within walking distance. The hotel itself is fairly modern, and the elevators were always very quick."
