"Spent three nights at Jetwing Jaffna on a trip to the peninsula. I grew up in Sri Lanka, but, never had been to Jaffna and I wanted to visit. Jet wing is a great base around which to plan a trip to Jaffna. It is new, rooms are fantastic, staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and the food is exceptional. "Reserved thro expedia for a week. When call them that we were running late and checking a bit late , the guy Rajan told no longer the reservation is honoured and cancelled. So diagusting and rude was that. We flew from Far far away ie Toronto and this is so horrible and shocking .first time we ever had to face such a situation at last minute. "The building here is a bit old, and you can see the wear and tear in the space, but that just makes it interesting. This is a great, central, inexpensive space to stay when you see Jaffna. "The wifi went down every evening. The breakfast is Sri Lankan vegetarian. I’m completely flummoxed why previous reviewers say the location is good. They seem to believe that its location between the city and the beach is an advantage. It is near nothing. I had to walk a minimum of 30 minutes to find a restaurant or a grocery store. As a result you have to drive to get anything."

"Converted Villa with 4 rooms in Jaffna suburbs. Nicely converted with pool, garden and small dining area. Accommodation roomy but with no natural light. TV with several English language channels - news and other. Good air conditioning and kettle provided. Hosts are helpful and on hand, this is definitely more of a home stay than a hotel.
