"This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Understated and tasteful elegance. Fantastic rooms with amazing balconies, world class beach, impeccable service, excellent grounds, fine dining at Manta, but also a beachfront casual bar/restaurant, and Copper Bar in between and our favorite. They have an Asian Art Collection worthy of a museum. This was out of our usual price range, a big splurge, and worth every penny. We are already trying to figure out how to swing it to go back next winter. "

"BEAUTIFUL!!! We decided on a last minute trip to the Big Island. We didnt really want to stay at a resort. So glad we came across Gingerhilll Farm Retreat. We stayed in Monkey Tree tent. The bed was so comfortable. Probably the best bed ive ever slept in besides our home one. We live on a farm so this place was a littler more noisy for us. Lots of frogs going off and a very abnoxious rooster that i feel needs to go in a stew pot.or be moved away from all the cabins. He starts crowing around...

"Need better coffee in the morning, usually full of gunk. It’s a National Park so very old rooms with that smell. Walk your bag up a flight. Wonderful nice staff, very helpful."

"Beautiful luxury stay with amazing amenities and views. King size beds in both masters were so comfortable with great pillows too! Best sleep in years! Kitchen equipped with everything you would ever need "

"Incredible value for the area. Appears to be newly remodeled. Basic lodging but very clean and nice. Easy to find and close to National Park. Only thing I could recommend for improvement would be a little better mattress. Overall, exceeded expectations! Thanks! "

"Old, finicky pumbling, surrounded by sounds of burds, bugs, and frogs that might disturb the sleep of some. Location to park excellent"

"Super nice staff with clean accommodations. Walls were paper, thin and we were up much of the night because the people next-door were up late talking. However, we appreciated the flexibility of being moved the next day. "

"Very quiet setting. We stayed in the Wolfie Suites, which were very clean and had a nice sitting room in addition to the bedroom. Very comfortable beds. There are no staff on the premises and you have to check in at a store which is a few minutes drive away. They prefer to know in advance exactly what time you expect to arrive for check in. Location only a mile from the park entrance was great."
