"The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property. "We had an incredible stay at Rusty Bunk Villa, which comfortably accommodated our group of six. The apartment was beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and spacious with three bedrooms, making it a perfect mountain retreat for a larger group. "The host was surprised to see us arriving........first time ever happening. room was, of course not ready, no wifi, bathroom in a terrible condition, breakfast was a joke compare to other hotels we have been, I don't even know if it was a real hotel."

"This is a villa converted to a hotel. The have only 4 rooms. The description is misleading. Too expensive. Does not worth it. It should not be rated more than 1 star! The view from the room (Delox twin) is totally obstructed. It smells terrible!"

"The hotel is just out of the hussle and bustle of Kandy city - about a 15min Tuktuk ride. Perfect to see all the sights in and around Kandy and then come back and relax in peace and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the owner arranged trips and drivers in and around the Kandy area. The food is was amazing particularly Hassida's vegetable curry! "

"This is a whole house! 3 bedrooms, 2 twin size beds and 2 queen size beds, and 2 bathrooms. There is even a full kitchen with cooking utensils. The views are amazing!"

"Loved the property however booking was stuffed up and could only stay 1 night instead of 2 so had to find different accommodation. I did receive a full refund. "

A hidden gem !

"The hotel exceeded our expectations particularly in terms of cuisine. The breakfast, the al a carte menu and the dinner buffets were excellent. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views from the rooms & the restaurant were majestic. The roof top bar was a plus but the rainy weather interrupted our use of the facility. All in all a perfect two day stay and I highly recommend this boutique hotel for visitors to Kandy. "
