"We were so pleased with the thermal pools. No smell. We had them almost to ourselves mid February and thought the temp was perfect- the fresh water pool with slide was too cold tho. The property had lovely gardens and butterflies and sauna. Worth the sketchy roads we did at night not realizing we’d have to leave pavement for an hour or more @ 20 mph max "

"The Lodge was spectacular and the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Within hours of arrival, they knew our names. The room was large, private, clean and very comfortable with a large deck overlooking the rainforest, a huge bathroom and our own private hot tub. We did many activities through the lodge (hiking, yoga, night walk, bird watching tour) and the guides were excellent. The food was delicious and very fresh. Each dish was beautifully plated and generous. 5 stars!"

Pablo and Ana were fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed learning from their knowledge of all things Costa Rican, especially the history and quality of chocolate and coffee. We stayed in cabin 8 which was comfortably rustic with a refrigerator. We found the temperature in mid Feb to be approx 10 degrees C cooler than the coast. "This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). Our kids miss Lucky and Domino and wanted to take the puppies home :-) I would definitely recommend!"

"We had the deluxe bungalow, it was very clean, spacious and private. Very safe place that is just outside the small town of Bijagua. Can get pretty windy at night which is normal in the mountains, I am a sensitive sleeper so earplugs and eye covers recommended to help you get a good nights rest. Reasonable price for a pretty cute place with friendly prompt service and nice breakfast. About 20-30min drive from Tenorio National Park to see Rio Celeste. "
