"The Red House is a delightful old, large three story town house in a more up-market part of Grantham, if there is such a thing. Large room with high ceilings and original features - not to everyone's taste but perfect for me. Very quiet and peaceful but easy walk to the town center. As a renovated old building the facilities are, naturally, not like a modern hotel. but everything worked fine and the host was charming. "This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. "Firstly, i paid Over the phone and upon arrival i was Told that the old management took my payment and that i had To pay another £90. They said they would send me a email explaining what had happened however i have Never received this. "Stayed on a routine trip to Melton Mowbray. The White Lion was reasonably priced, warm and comfortable, with WiFi that worked well enough for me to work using Teams. The owners and their staff were friendly and helpful. The English breakfast was cooked to perfection and as it was included in the price just making it very good value. I travel every week, and it is nice to find a warm room as well as a warm welcome."
