"Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket. "Lovely lady helpfully directed me to the correct address since my sat-nav didn’t. Very helpfully and warm personality. Room was really clean, fresh towels and a comfy big bed. Everything was well put together, no complaints. Would stay there again if I were in the area, wished I had another night there. "

"Pub is closed on Sunday evenings and Monday morning so only contact we had was to pick key up, so cannot really comment on service. Lodge was clean but looking a bit tired, but was fine for a one night stay. "

"I received a really friendly welcome from Penny and had a very nice, clean, spacious room. This is an old building so clearly isn’t shiny and new, but was perfectly adequate for my requirements. It was lovely having the bar downstairs, and the offer of pub food if needed. Would definitely stay there again. Excellent value and lovely, friendly staff. Lots of free parking in their car park. "

"Staff very welcoming and service for the evening meal and show was excellent, considering there were over a hundred people seated for it. The dinner accompanying the show was very tasty and main course was plentiful. Bedroom clean, spacious and warm and the bed was very comfortable . Breakfast was fine though a reminder was need to obtain tea, coffee and toast ordered. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others"
