La Dama Ibérica is a remarkable work of art created by the Spanish sculptor Manolo Valdés and composed of dark blue ceramics that shimmer in the sunlight. It is inspired by the Lady of Elche, an Iberian artifact from the 4th century B.C. with an intriguing headdress. Spot the large circles along the sides of the sculpture, with the Estadi Nou Mestalla sports arena in the background.
Walk up to the structure and appreciate its sheer size. Installed in 2007, the public work of art is 59 feet (18 meters) tall and dominates the center of a large roundabout near the Beniferri metro stop.
