"The Berkely Hotel is a charming well maintained hotel in a great location for Richmond (Shockoe Slip). The only negative for me and my wife is that the rooms are dated and need some amenities to be added, most notably power outlets 120 v and USB and a refrigerator. I understand they are starting next year on a renovation plan. Unfortunately, the room rate will go up (most likely) As it is now it is a good value!"

"The front desk check in guy was not kind or friendly, I believe he gave me the worst room on the 4th floor right next to the maint shop. The next morning maint tech. had his work cart almost blocking our room door. Maint Tech was watching videos and very loud around 8:30 am - looked up never said hello or good morning.
