"Very friendly, willing to please staff. Superb breakfast even during renovations. Great location for city centre, eating out and for the port. A pity the significant renovations were not mentioned prior to arrival. Refurbished room almost perfect. Big beds, large window, excellent smart TV, tea, coffee, fridge, water and best of all the toiletries. However, the wardrobe is far too small and there was no thought given to space for hanging up a hand towel and two bath towels."

"Friendly staff on front desk willing to accommodate our requests, room clean but basic is an understatement, I know it is a budget hotel but at least heating (we had a tiny oil radiator in the room that didn’t heat it) luckily we had blankets in the car!! And no kettle or tea and coffee in the room had to pay extra at the desk when checking in"

"Quirky hotel with old style gated lift very cute!! Breakfast very reasonably priced and delicious .Staff friendly & had a hairdryer at reception when needed. Hotel is surrounded by bars/restaurants and 2 minutes walk to all the shops.Handy it has its own carpark too!! Will definitely be going back !"

"Although the outside looks run down, the refurb in the rooms is nice. Once outside is freshened up, a few hanging baskets, tidy up etc, it will look more inviting. Just need a few tweaks. We were in room 7, twin room. Needs a bedside cabinet between the beds . Maybe a dressing table and mirror, for when you're getting ready. Shelf in bathroom would be handy. "The woman managing the place was very kind and helpful. She gave us tips for walking around the area and finding restaurants. When we had a little trouble with transportation for our cruise, she contacted a local taxi company who was there in 5 minutes. It made our day much less stressful. Thank you very much! "
