"Monica was the friendliest most enthusiastic host we’ve stayed with. Everything from her greeting to the amazing breakfast was perfect. She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Parking was on the street, but it was fairly close and easy."

"What an amazing place! Volpaia is a unique venue, in a beautiful setting and it was a joy to stay there. Our room was lovely- comfortable, clean and with a stunning view- even from the loo! The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good - in short we could fault our stay at Castello di Volpaia."

"The hotel Como Castelo Del Nero is a beautiful property. However, for this resort to feel more comfortable and welcoming as resort it will require a few changes: The rooms are to bright. "A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, the serenity here was perfection. We stayed in the 'deluxe double room' which was absolutely fantastic. We arranged a vespa rental and rode through the countryside to the nearby Castellina in Chianti and cute hilltop town and took a wonderful cooking class at Taverna Squarcialupi. The restaurant on site is also lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. Love this place! Also a pool for warmer weather (it was a bit cold in mid October) and hiking which we would have done if we stayed even one additional night."
