"Awesome property with fabulous service and breakfast"

"We had such a lovely and relaxing stay. We lucked out with good weather during our stay. We were here for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean. We had a view of the lake and outdoor bath which was great. Both dinner and breakfast buffet were great with lots of options. We also enjoyed the foot bath. The hotel has a shuttle which runs at certain hours make sure to inquire and sign up for this as we only used it on our way out and it was much more pleasant than the public bus from Odawara station. There is a walking path/ trail along lake (opposite direction of moto Hakone ) which we found on our last day. Wished we found it prior as we were able to walk a long ways along the lake. "

"Amazing hospitality. We loved the whole vibe of a ryokan hotel. Strolling around the property in kimono was very relaxing. Having private balcony onsen was also amazing! Our only issue was the quality of meat received at the Japanese grill restaurant. One day is was great. The next day, the same cuts of meat were much tougher. "

"Very cool, retro early 60’s hotel that’s been well preserved. So many great things to say about this hotel great staff very welcoming excellent transportation shuttle options. The views are amazing huge patio with lounge chairs to relax and soak in the view of Mount Fuji many dining options. The buffet was excellent, filled with traditional Japanese and American breakfast choices known for its onson/Spa this hotel is truly a step back in time and such a treat. Favorite part of the property is the size of the guest rooms which were huge by Japanese hotel standards large sliding windows open to bring in fresh air and gorgeous views beautiful ropes slippers. This hotel is truly delight. Don’t miss the gift shop. Hope to visit again! "
