"The reception area of the hotel is light and airy and very welcoming. We found our room quite easily and it was both comfortable and quiet. The leisure pool was a bonus although it isn’t very big so swimming lengths wasn’t particularly easy. Dinner was nice but it is quite difficult to get 3 courses for the £32 allowance. "I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. "

"The staff in this hotel were really lovely - in the bar, reception, breakfast, they could not be faulted. The rooms were slightly tired and needed a little bit of work but the beds were super comfortable and I had a lovely nights sleep. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of options. I was staying at this hotel for a birthday party and the hotel provided the food. The food was excellent with a great variety for the buffet."

"The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...
