Great except for the “buffet” breakfast. For $150 we got scrambled eggs and bread-not toast, bread. No butter, no jam, just bread. They were out of everything else, and would not comp us when asked. We were told to wait for more food. After an hour we gave up. Shocked to see the $150 show up on our bill. So much for a luxury hotel.

Most terrible hotel experience I’ve ever had. Bed bugs and complete filth. Moved rooms 4 times. No compensation or sympathy for anything. 0/10 recommend.

The dining options are very limited. Rooms are good size - when I checked in I was told I was being upgraded due to my Platinum status with Accor - then I was given the exact same room. Upon checkout, my folio was sent to me and I was incorrectly charged for a bottle of wine from the mini fridge that I did not drink.

The room and the property were great, as were the staff we interacted with. The two things I took issue with were: we got margaritas at the in-lobby bar. $26ish each. They were the worst beverages I’ve ever tasted, and we refused to drink them. They literally tasted like water with a little tequila. Secondly, there is an extensive room service menu in the room, which includes a kids menu. I had to call the hotel front desk and voice concerns after our babysitter tried calling room service and was told that they didn’t have any of the kids menu. (They did, they had to open the kitchen apparently.)

We upgraded to gold and loved the service and food in the gold room. Also the shower in the upgraded room was amazing. We had a wonderful time and were made to feel that we were at home.

Major disappointment relative to my expectations of a Fairmont and a 5-star hotel. Furniture in public areas as well as guest room and showing serious wear and tear, basic comforts such as bottled water and creamer for coffee not provided (they have small packets of the powdered stuff). The room description of “water views or striking park views” is egregiously misleading and false. The one restaurant at the hotel was closed due to some reorganization and the lounge had very limited food options, especially for vegetarians. For breakfast, no alternative was provided except for a limited array and quantity of baked goods and poor quality coffee. The shower had poor water pressure…. Overall depressing, unjustifiably expensive and not recommended. The staff did go to lengths to try to mitigate the situation but much of it was beyond their control. We cut our stay short.

Property is in a perfect geographical location to the riverwalk, millennium park, navy peir and shopping on Michigan Ave. There is a nutella store a short 6-7 minute walk on Michigan Ave.

Everything was good. The only issue we have is when the AC felt a bit warm even when it was set on 60 middle of the night. Otherwise, no complaints! Benjamin, who works outside front area were awesome. He was very friendly and funny!!!
