"Loved the hotel and staff were great. My only gripe is after booking a non-refundable room, the hotel contacted to stay that we would have to pay a further £20 per person should we will to use the pool! I could understand if we wanted to treatments but surely guests should have access to the pool during certain hours if staying at the hotel! "

"We Usually stay in hotels, but decided to stay in a guest house this time. Got to say we were really impressed with Chester house. It was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, (in both here and their sister property, Chester court hotel, next door), and the included breakfasts were excellent. "We had a family room which was very spacious. The bar and restaurant area were quite dated but comfortable enough. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff very friendly. The lighting in the rooms wasn’t great (a few not working). Disappointed we couldn’t use the swimming facilities on the first day as they were to busy. I think they should state this when you book. Overall very happy and would stay here again. Value for money "

"Absolutely stunning stay! This place is so peaceful and really allows you to ‘switch off’. The cottage was lovely, very spacious and homely. The only niggle we would have to mention would be the bed which wasn’t very comfortable at all (sorry) and good luck if you’re taller than 5’9! Other than that everything was really lovely and would definitely recommend. We would love to visit again if the bed was replaced for one that was bigger and more comfortable 😊"
