"This unique property was beautifully located with views over the Dordogne, a small pool which was wonderful to cool off with a glass of wine which was bought out to us. The room was very nicely decorated, rustic wooden beams and a lovely hot shower. The hosts were incrediably warm and friendly and clearly love to welcome people to their house and the local area."

"Truly beautiful location on the banks of the Dordogne in a small vineyard. We stayed here by chance as part of a longer road trip. We wouldn’t consider ourselves wine lovers but the free wine tasting session was really informative and completely changed our outlook on wine. The hotel accommodation was of excellent standard and the hosts were very friendly. They also make excellent and very reasonably priced wines."

"This is a nice hotel. Very modern, clean and comfortable. Need to be aware that road noise may be an issue if you’re a light sleeper. We asked to change rooms from road side to parking side. Which they did but it cost us an extra Eu45 as they only had a superior left."

(I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "Warm welcome from Estelle with helpful guidance for local points of interest and restaurants. Shower was very good with hot water operating without any wait time. Breakfast was all of good quality, home made approach with apples pick from her tree each morning, and cooked eggs from her free range hens were offered. Very nice secure countryside house."

"Our stay here was lovely! We were driving back to Spain from Courchevel and had to stop in Bordeaux because it got very late. They accommodated us last minute and overall the staff was wonderful, and the hotel and rooms were impeccable. Would stay here again!"
