"I was looking for an inexpensive place to spend the night while visiting family (a 99th birthday party) and doing some exploring. The hotel is showing it's age, but it wasn't gross. I did have an issue with my ground floor window not locking, but it was taken care of on a Sunday with limited staff. It was pretty quiet while I was there, the staff was friendly enough. I did notice a strong smell of perfume in the room after the window was fixed, and since I am allergic, I ironically opened the...

"Staff was courteous, helpful. Cooling in room 227 appeared inefficient; now I think the a/c wasn't working right (I spoke to staff about this as we were leaving), coffee maker was broken in room, ice cream was left in refrigerator/feeezer from previous occupant. We liked the proximity of the place. Breakfast was good; breakfast staff member was on top of that operation ."
