"Great location to downtown Monterey. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was built in 1909, it kind of had a cool spooky feel to it. Would definitely stay again on my next visit. My only complaint is the valet price is high and you really need to valet. It didn’t feel safe to leave our car on the street. "

Was disappointed that the fireplace did not quiet warm room as expected but it still was cozy and elegant scene to have or try to concoct. Love the restaurant and the atmosphere there my first time trying out and it was awesome! "
