"Nice hotel, welcoming and comfortable. Restaurant food lacked in choice for vegetarians and vegans, not really any healthy choice. But the staff were lovely and the service was great. Room was comfortable and practical, though the colour choice was a bit odd & the shower was small even for me, a small woman. But that could be that I had the odd room at the end of the corridor that the designer squeezed in."

Enter the public car park gates at the front of hotel, park and walk to reception where the correct tickets can be obtained for parking. 15€ per night charge. "When we arrived at the hotel it had closed down four weeks previously. A notice on the door informed us to which hotel we had been transferred. This was difficult to access as the hotel next to The Chevalier( our new destination) was still under construction. There was no drop off point for luggage and my husband had to carry all bags from a car park about 7 minutes walk away. We were greeted by black billowing smoke. "This hotel was phenomenal. I am well traveled, and found this to be exceptional. I was upgraded to one of the suites, where I had one of the largest balconies one could ever expect from a hotel overlooking the southwest of France. I also had another balcony in the sitting room. The staff was really friendly and helpful. One tip – you cannot really drive to this hotel. It’s hard to find, and you have to park a bit away in the parking lot and track up the hill into the walled city. ."
