"Hotel el Covento is very well located, close to all sorts of dining and shopping locales and next to the Cathedral. It's colonial architecture gives it a very special charm and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant food and waitresses are really good. The only mishap was the faulty elevator but overall I would definitely recommend it."

"People at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The property itself is great with great location. Amazing atmosphere and spacious and the rooms are nice. The staff at the restaurant was not smiling and not really friendly. The only person who was nice and accommodating was the manager. The rest of the servers were just food delivers. "

"This location is convenient to the Plaza Colon. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The host really helped out when I found two ladies just outside looking for their accommodations that turned out to be bogus. So our host was able to accommodate them even though it was REALLY late at night when I sent the message. The apartment we stayed in was clean and comfortable. There is even an (ancient) elevator that we used for our heavy luggage. Wonderful visit!"

"Stayed at this hotel for an evening before boarding a cruise. Very close to the airport and the port. The staff were very friendly and helpful as our flight landed very late and could not check in until 2am. We didn’t explore the area around the hotel as we had to leave early the next day but we would definitely consider staying here again if we find ourselves back in San Juan! "
