"There’s a lot to like about the Lilianfels - classic old hotel feel, spacious rooms, courteous staff, excellent breakfast, and a great location for accessing nearby hiking trails and one main detraction - the property shows its age in a couple of ways (the carpet in our hotel room was somewhat threadbare, the skirt on the bed was partially shredded and the carpet in the “studio room” adjacent to the exercise room was filthy). "Three Sisters looks bad from the outside, but the inside was clean and ready to go. Crammed our family of 4 into one room which was a novelty and could walk to Echo Point and Scenic world which suited us brilliantly. Air conditioning essential and worked very effectively. "Variable quality of room servicing. Some towels replaced. Some taken and not replaced. Bath soap dispenser empty but not refilled. Bit of a mixed bag. No consistency. And consistency - the same experience, regardless of who is servicing the room - is the key to a high quality stay."

"Overnight stay suited us in a good location to shops and restaurants. Bathroom had steps which could be a problem for those with mobility issues but fine for us. Old lift was a bit problematic- slow and didn’t always register. Otherwise, an old hotel with lovely features like a library."

"this room worked pretty well for me. the building is a huge building, and appears to be an old (1950s?) boarding house - if you have any interest in architecture you will like its characteristics. the room did not have its own en-suite, but the shared toilets and showers were ok. every other room started at double the cost! the manager was Ron, and he was helpful."
