"The hotel consists of one or two bedroom apartments in central Jakarta. The apartment was serviced daily and the staff very friendly. However there was no cooking utensils at all, just 2 glasses,2 plates, and bowls , and 2 sets of fork and spoons. There is no dishwashing liquid or tea towels. Quite ridiculous seeing as there is a full gas hot plate The towels and sheets were great but a bit of mould in the shower. Fully air conditioned and a balcony too. "Everything about the property and it's staff is excellent. The one thing for which the property has no control is the walkability around the area to go to places 15 or twenty minutes walk. It's an issue that there are either no side walks or they have been taken over by the storekeepers. To be honest, many neighborhoods around hotel properties in USA are also not walkable. "I originally only booked a 2 nights stay but I loved the apartment so much I extended 2 times and ended being there for one week. "Batavia Apartments is close to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, where there are several major shopping areas. On Jalan Benhil, within walking distance of Batavia Apartments, there are several ATMs, restaurants, and convenience shops for snacks and drinks. There are always taxis located outside the Apartments, making transportation very easy from there. The staff are friendly. It's nice to have a spa on site, and I enjoyed a relaxing massage on the day I arrived. The pool area is beautiful."
