"The place was beautiful as it had an amazing garden which had a plethora of plant life that added to the peaceful atmosphere. The pool was clean and well maintained. The beach was opposite the property which was convenient. The room furnishing was old and the bathroom could use an upgrade. We stayed in the premium garden facing room. But overall it was a good stay. "

"The Reef Retreat setting is very nice and tranquil. The only drawback for us was our room was a top floor one. We had lots of suitcases due to our cruise before we disembarked in Cairns. The location is very good and close to many restaurants. The room was comfortably and had everything we needed."

"The cabins arent the greatest. Yes they were pretty clean (its hard to keep something so close to the ocean clean), but big old noisy aircons, and some lights didnt work, and the floor lino was quite cracked in places, and sometimes you would step on a part of floor that seemed unstable and you would sink a bit, and the water was quite brown, so we bought cartons of water to drink.
