"First the pro - the idea of this resort, individual villas, is good. Now the cons: - The staff had no idea that I was arriving. "The address IS NOT CORRECT. This property is not 20 mins from Chiang Mai airport as it says. It is over an hour outside Chiang Mai. We lost many hours of our day due to this. Finding a driver to transport us such a long way was very difficult. After we arrived, We gave them a security deposit and when I messaged the manager on WhatsApp about how we could get our deposit back, I have gotten no response back. The place itself is very pretty. "This was just an overnight stay in the provincial capital to meet friends for dinner and hang out a bit, as our home is about 30km away from town. The hotel is decent, a bit dated in design and décor but clean and like most Phayao hotels very inexpensive by Western standards. There are shops and a few small restaurants in the immediate area, and the Kwan Phayao lakefront is almost walking distance, though we didn't go to the lake as recent flooding in the area meant some restaurants were closed....
