"The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area. "

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! If I ever find my way back to this area, I will definitely return!"

"My biggest regret booking here is that I only booked one night! This place is wonderful in many many ways: It's located very close to Kamakura Station, easy to find, easily accessible, and affordable! The best thing about this place isn't what you'd find in a standard hotel: This feels like a home. "Great location in Hase area of Kamakura. Easy walking distance to beach and temples. Good public transit near by. Clean and quiet location. Didn’t realize I’d have to share a toilet with several other rooms. My room had a shower, but my family had to use another on the first floor. It was locked when they wanted to use it and no staff around to assist. They ended up using mine, which was fine as we’re family, but it would have been easier if the room key worked for the showers too. "

"I once stayed in a traditional Japanese hotel. but this feels more like a hostel. The rooms are very small and so is the shared spaces. This place is good for solo travel or a quick night stay. The things I enjoyed the most was the comfortable mattresses and the ability to drop my luggage off in the morning. "

"This is function more like BnB than an actual hotel. The check in was confusing, staff were non existence, there is only one bus line that run every 30min, and completely stop about 8pm. The sidewalk is narrow and share the same road as cars, it's especially dangerous at home with limited views. There are no diner nearby and everything closes at around 6pm. "

"Amazing place! They don’t tell you about the amazing sauna/shower/bath!!!! I needed that. Just know there is a rickety staircase to get to the sauna and bed. Otherwise great."

Amazing stay in Hakone

"This hotel was my favorite out of the 4 we stayed in during our Japan trip. The beds were comfortable, bathroom had all we needed and the balcony gave us the most amazing view in the morning, definitely get a room facing the water and mountain. We could see the Pirate ship as well from our room. I loved that the booking came with buffet meals- fantastic options. I loved our stay in Hakone and this hotel. They even had a feared outdoor foot bath to rest your feet after walking. You could use there onsen or book a private one. So many extras on the property. Just an overall amazing stay during our trip."
