"When we arrived, the place was closed, and it seems like it hasn't been a hotel for a long time. It was late afternoon, snowing, with the temperature at -5 degrees Celsius, and we almost ran out of a place to sleep! Our luck was that one person offered us help to find another place to stay. After more than two hours of arguing on the phone, the owner of another hotel agreed to accommodate us. I don't know what they talked about, but I'm glad everything worked out. This place should not be listed...

"Selim and his family are an excellent host. They have always been very helpful in every aspect. Home made food was amazing. You can go for a walk up to the Plateau and find beautiful scenery. The place is away from city’s hustle and bustle; we loved every aspect of it."

"gayet iyi ve kibar personeller. Havuzu iyi çocuklarla güzel eğlendik. otel konumu ve kalitesiyle oldukça iyiydi. sadece havuz bölümündeki havlular daha iyi yıkanmalı ve masaj konusunda ısrarcı olunmamalıydı. "The property and staff were excellent. Breakfast was great (and complimentary). I rented a king suite and it had a small kitchen, but I wish there was more provided in the kitchen such as dish soap, a sponge, a knife, more cookware etc. the bathroom was great, there was a washer but no dryer so we weren’t able to do our laundry due to the winter conditions outside. The room had a lake view which was absolutely stunning. It was the best part of the property. Unfortunately because the property is really high up so you’re kind of stranded without a car. We booked a car tour through the hotel to go to Uzungol for one whole day, and the next day we booked a car to take us to and from the forum shopping mall, which was excellent. I’d highly recommend this place to any visitor!"

Generally okay hotel but could be so much better

"It is badly let down by its bathrooms and breakfasts. The hotel is in a good location, although next to main port road and flyover so you can’t really leave your window open. The rooms are a good size and there is a lovely bar area which is nice to sit and relax in after a day out. However, when we arrived the room smelt badly of damp; turns out the showers in the bathroom are very badly designed and flood every time you use them. This meant the wallpaper in the bathrooms was peeling away up the walls. The make up mirror was broken on the wall and missing. Also there was a coffee machine in the room - but no coffee pods. And proper cups and glasses are for some reason not allowed in the rooms. Neither of us can bear having drinks from paper cups. The room was however very clean. The breakfast was not good. On the first day because the hotel was fairly empty it was served to us, and whilst not great it was edible. The next two days it was buffet style and dreadful. Nothing was fresh, the cheeses were all hard greasy and the menemen looked disgusting. However, despite its flaws our stay was okay, mainly because the young staff who work there were all lovely. Don’t think we’d stay again though "
