"Great place to stay, staff very helpful. Iquitos is a VERY noisy city and so it is lovely to find a hotel that has rooms away from the main road, and therefore quiet! Bar and minibar prices very reasonable. I would definitely return, but ask for Room 106 which has a kitchenette!"

"Difficult to tell if it is called The Hotel Portas da Amazonas or Acorte. Situated next to the cathedral and near the fort. Within walking distance of Docas (markets water trips and eating) but out of the main city. We were told to take extreme care if out walking at night. Breakfast finished at 9. "We stayed in two hotel in Manaus—both in similar location and similar price. Blue Tree was a much better option—rooms are cleaner, food is better, and it’s closer to shopping mall and good restaurants. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Internet is good. "
