No expense has been spared in the building of this astonishing shopping center, which is modeled on luxurious Italian shopping arcades of the belle epoque. The floors are made from polished Tuscan marble, the gardens in the center of the mall are full of olive trees imported from Sicily and there is a 130-foot (40-meter) glass dome overhead. Alhazm is mostly frequented by local residents. Attitudes here may be conservative compared to other parts of Doha. When visiting the mall, make sure to dress modestly, which means not wearing shorts or short skirts. Visitors dressed inappropriately may be asked to leave.
