"Beautiful place set in a great location for peace but close enough to the bustle. Staff are amazing and felt more like ‘home ‘. . I’ve employ them all. Bar. Restaurant . Management. Food was superb. Parking easy and beautiful building. Rooms modern but somehow felt ‘right’ for the era. Only negative is rooms are small and a sleeping head is very close to WC . Problem not for most but I get up a lot. The joint on bed was noticeable but just meant could not cuddle. Would definately stay again...

"Very convenient for our trip to the local hospital and very reasonable price including breakfast. A warm welcome at reception on check-in. Nice large room with comfortable big bed. You can open the windows to let in fresh air - not always possible these days at some hotels. We loved that it was over the pub/restaurant (a good menu plus specials and what we had was cooked really well) yet the pub couldn’t be heard from the room. Breakfast had a good selection of cereals etc and cooked options....

"We had a very nicely renovated large room on the second floor of the main building, looking out onto the pedestrian High Street. A little noise from the party-goers, but got to sleep fine. "I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. "
