"Overall a good stay. Needs a bit of TLC to the paintwork. Bathroom is quite small but adequate, & bedroom space was small ie bed against the wall. Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. Bed was comfortable & extra pillows if wanted in wardrobe. Great communication & easy mobile entry via email "

"For my purposes of visiting an unwell relative, it was perfect. However, if you don’t know the area it appears a bit run down. The appartments themselves have good security with cctv. I booked through travel site and found communication was not easy. I have a feeling the owners are new to letting their appartments so hopefully teething issues. The cleanliness was ok but I again suspect that it was a rush job to prepare for our stay. The apartment location is central and a short walk to the train...

"After many attemps to make contact on the day of arrival via cobtact number and whats app eventually got some communication. I was told at 2pm on day of arrival(5pm check in) that the appartment was o longer available due to previous occupier causing damage which could not be rectified. Had a exact review not so long ago. Poor communication but managed to sort alternative accomadation so break was not ruined. Be cautious"

"Looked nice and well appointed. Visit was for Doncaster Races with dad and two grown up sons. Marketed as 4 person place, however, comfort score low as the sofa bed was absolutely the worst and most uncomfortable thing to sleep on ever, 2 nights no sleep! "

"The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were amazing and very good with the children - the meals were worth the money! Our room was immaculate! The facilities were fab. Only niggle was the phone didn't work in our room and so I had to go to reception to order room service... "Very friendly and accommodating staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms really clean and well managed. Breakfast was very good and kids under 13 eat free. Bar and lounge areas are also very good. Great location on the Marina with easy walking access to the city centre or old town. Had a really relaxing stay and the place is also pet friendly which is ideal and also well managed. At this price point it’s absolutely spot on. "

Twistmas Stay at the IBIS

"Just booked a 'Twixtmas' break for my wife and I at the IBIS to recover from the 'demands' of Christmas. Three nights in the IBIS was very good with everything you could want from a budget hotel. Bed was comfy, no noise, good room service convenient for shops and pubs. After various cash back deals the 3 nights cost about £100 which was excellent value. Will be returning in the future."
