"The location and setting was perfect, very tranquil and peaceful. Enjoyed the walk around the picturesque golf course. Just what we wanted for the 4 night long weekend. Hotel, restaurant and golf club staff were very accommodating, polite, keen and very patient. However the Spa service was poor, no communication as to the treatment requirements or during the actual treatment, probably the worst massage I have had. "It seemed the property was not ready for guests. The rooms and shelves were not very clean. The sink leaked and the bath drainage took a long time to drain. The stoves for cooking did not have knobs for turning it on. You could hardly see with the light in the bathroom when we arrived. The sofa was torn and squeaked. Linen & towels did not look fresh & clean (very old)."

"A well appointed room with everything that you would need for an overnight stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The pool and gardens looked great. The only downside was the noise from a cistern that seemed to run all night and then the early morning traffic noise, but I would recommend."
