"Nice place to stay. Only stayed one night, but was a great spot for the night. Central location and easy parking. The staff are super nice. One thing to note, they only have stairs so if you have loads of luggage of having accessiblity issues, this is something you should note (although im pretty sure thats mentioned on their listing). "The room was tricky to get into due to position of bed, but once in it was comfortable and had everything you need. Housekeeping staff provided with with an iron very promptly and all staff were very nice. Decor is to a nice standard and having a sea view was bliss. Breakfast was rather yummy and very good value for money. Iussed seeing some fruit and it would have been nice to have the coffee in a cafeteria "

"Really enjoyed our stay here. It's right in the middle of the main shopping and dining area, and was the perfect location for us. The rooms are clean and comfy, and the staff is very helpful. They don't do breakfast, but give each guest a little goodie bag each morning. The pub downstairs is lively and fun, but not too loud."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff on Reception were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The twin beds were comfy and the room well supplied with toiletries. Its so nice to be in a hotel where we can adjust the heating too. The room was at the back and nice and quiet and only a short walk into the centre of Oban.The only criticism I had was the shower which was just about warm, despite running the water for 5 minutes."

"My husband and I have been traveling Scotland for our honeymoon. We found this guest house when looking for places to stay on our travels. We absolutely LOVED it. Our host, Caroline was wonderful and welcoming. Could not have asked for a better host. Our room was clean, and spacious. We had some cereal, snacks, milk, and orange juice in our room. "I went with a friend fof her birthday up the west coast of scotland and we decided to extend our stay and chose the Hollytree last minute. But what a fabulous choice! The views were incredible, the room was very spacious and the twin beds felt comfy and cosy! The lesuire facilities were also great - pool and jacuzzi where we met some other tourists. "I had two nights at the Great Western. Wonderful views of the surrounding Harbourside. I could see various boats coming and going. Quite scenic. The bar also has a great view of the water. It’s a 2 min walk to the centre of Oban. Nice pubs, shops and cafes in town too. My room was comfortable, good hot water pressure and it was quiet at night. 👍"

Enjoyable enough stay.

"Comfortable enough hotel, older building so a bit creaky and thin walls (could clearly hear people in adjacent room). Nice bar, breakfast good with nice view of the Loch. friendly staff. Check-in at 4pm is too late, needs to be a hour earlier like most other hotels. "
