"If we could stay here longer, we would!! Truly look no further, this is the best hotel with the cutest rooms, perfect views, great food, and wonderful staff. With walkable paths to the beach and to the downtown area (along with private water taxis for transportation if you don’t want to walk), everything was perfect. This was hands down our favorite stop on our honeymoon. I know it will be just as special for anyone who visits! "

"Pousada Costa Verde was a nice stay on Ilha Grande. It was very clean and well maintained (though this is because of very strict rules, so if you're intent is to party, this is not the spot for you). The manager is super nice and provides a lot of great advice based on your expectations of your trip. The pousada is off the beaten path and does not come with breakfast like other pousadas on the mainland do."

"Room wasn’t clean. Lots of stains on the sheets and pillow cases. Dirty shower and the water pressure was very low. They also would not store our bags after check out. Early check out at 10am and not being able to store our bags is super inconvenient. Our ferry was at 4pm but the earliest ferry was 12noon. So even with the earliest ferry you have to drag your bags around for hours. "

"It was a really cool place to stay. Right on their own private beach! The staff were friendly and helpful. Don’t speak English but Google translate is a blessing. We had a free breakfast and lunch which was awesome! The room had a lot of character and the kitchen and bar are open reasonably late. Wish it had an air conditioner, and our room was right by a communal area with no noise proofing. And we had to pay for the beach towels which was weird. Quando chegamos na pousada, ninguém explica nada sobre nada, não passa senha de internet, não fala sobre o chuveiro. "My fiance and I had a few extra days in the Rio area and found this amazing Pousada on the site. It was charming, quaint, and had the most amazing views. We had several quiet nights here and loved the darling breakfasts wheeled to our table on a cart. My suggestion to the host would be to have a written explanation of how to get hot water from the shower in several languages. "
